Bank of Ireland
For my second week of work experience I went into Bank of Ireland (BOI) where I was mostly working with the advertising team. For my first day I was asked to meet my supervisors Sharon and Gemma at the Grand Canal Square BOI branch. This is where the Leinster Schools Cup draw was held. I arrived at the branch at 1 and I was introduced to a the two floor managers along with there company "red card". They had been setting up the branch for the live broadcast since 10 in the morning.
At the start all I did was observe until later in the day I was asked to set up BOI posters, notebooks, pens, information booklets and then Just before everyone arrived I was able to listen to the two presenters planning the evening out. Once everyone arrived it began straight away, all the schools coaches and captains took there seats and the draw went very smoothly.
Throughout the middle of my work experience I was working with the advertising team in a a BOI branch on Baggot Street. This is where I got to type posts for events, listen in on meetings and also sort out rugby tickets for Leinster rugby matches.
To end my work experience with Bank of Ireland I went to a the Leinster Towns Cup draw where I helped out the same way I did at the Leinster Schools Cup draw with the same floor managers and presenters.
I was really happy about how my work experience with Bank of Ireland went because I got to go to two very important Leinster Cup draws and meet professional rugby players such as Dan Leavy, Dave Kearney, Tom Daly, Adam Byrne and Peter Dooley.
